When you register, we collect your name, email address, and hashed password. If you sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from those providers.
We collect data about how you use CareerWithAI — lessons completed, challenges solved, assessment results, XP earned, and streak data. This is used to personalise your experience and power the AI roadmap.
If you use the resume analyser, your resume text is sent to our AI providers (Groq, Google) for analysis. We store your score and feedback but do not permanently store the full resume text.
Interview questions, answers, and scores are stored to show you your history and generate your scorecard. Voice recordings are processed entirely in your browser and never sent to our servers.
If you link your GitHub or LinkedIn, we fetch publicly available data from those platforms to provide AI-powered insights. We only read public information.

We use Groq, Google Gemini, and Mistral to generate lesson content, interview questions, and resume feedback. Your data is sent to these providers under their respective terms of service. We do not sell your data to these providers for training purposes.
We send only the minimum data necessary to each AI call — for example, resume analysis sends only your resume text and the job description or role context you provide, not your account details.
Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security policies ensuring users can only access their own data.
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text.
Data is stored in the European Union (EU) by default. Supabase infrastructure complies with GDPR requirements.
You can view all your data from your profile page. Contact us to request a full data export in JSON format.
You can delete your account from your profile settings. This permanently deletes all your data including progress, notes, and submissions within 30 days.
You can update your name, email, and profile information from the profile settings page at any time.

We use a single authentication cookie to keep you logged in. No third-party advertising or tracking cookies are used.
We use privacy-preserving analytics (no fingerprinting, no cross-site tracking) to understand page usage. No personal data is shared with analytics providers.
